Lemon Disinfecting Wipes

One canister, one product, a single dual-textured wipe that handles the everyday touch-ups (smooth side) and the stuck-on stuff (scrub side). The disinfecting active is a hospital-grade quaternary ammonium formula — the same chemistry used in clinic and hotel cleaning protocols. The lemon is the fragrance: clean, fresh, household-pleasant. Not a degreaser, not a “plant-based active” — just a smell that makes the room feel done.

Important: What this product is NOT for: food-preparation surfaces, chopping boards, or any item that goes into a child's mouth. Active Ingredients:

• Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride — 0.20% (quaternary ammonium disinfectant; kills bacteria and enveloped viruses)

• n-Alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride — 0.20% (50%C₁₄, 40%C₁₂, 10%C₁₆ — broad-spectrum quaternary ammonium disinfectant)

• Other ingredients — 99.60% (purified water, lemon-scented fragrance compounds, conditioning carriers, non-woven viscose fabric)

Free from:

• No alcohol (won't evaporate before disinfection is complete)

• No bleach, no chlorine

• Non-flammable

A note on “plant-based,” “food-safe,” and the lemon claim: Earlier versions of this page described the formula as “plant-based” and “food-safe, non-toxic.” We are correcting that. The active disinfecting ingredients are synthetic Quaternary Ammonium Compounds — that's what makes them hospital-grade. The lemon is a fragrance, not an essential oil active ingredient. For food-contact surfaces, use our separate Kitchen Wipes SKU (which carries a rinse-step protocol). If you want a truly plant-based wipe with no Quats, this isn't it — and we'd rather tell you that than mislead you.

1. Open canister. Remove the lid, tear off the foil seal completely. Insert the centre of the wipe roll through the lid hole, pull it through, and re-cap.

2. Pull one wipe at a time through the lid — the next wipe loads automatically.

3. Choose your side. Smooth side for daily wipe-downs on tables, switches, and screens. Textured scrub side for stuck-on stuff — sticky remote buttons, doorknob grime, dried spills.

4. For everyday cleaning: Wipe the surface, let air-dry. This gives you cleaning + fragrance.

5. For full disinfection: Use enough wipes so the surface stays visibly wet for 4 minutes. For virus inactivation, a minimum of 5 seconds wet contact.

6. For greasy / very dirty surfaces: Use one wipe to remove excess grime, then a fresh wipe to disinfect.

7. Dispose: Bin used wipes. Do not flush.

Safe on:
Hard nonporous surfaces — living/dining tabletops, coffee tables (glass/laminate/plastic), bathroom fixtures (taps, basin, toilet seat exterior), switches, doorknobs, study desks, glass surfaces, plastic and laminate furniture, fridge exterior, microwave exterior, washing machine exterior, TV remote (gently), keyboard keys (gently).

Use with care on:
Untreated wood, raw leather, suede, anti-glare matte screens, polished marble. Test on a hidden spot first.

Not for:

Q. Is this safe for food-contact surfaces?
Short answer: this is the wrong product for that. CORECLEAN Multi-Surface Wipes (this SKU) are designed for general home surfaces — tabletops, switches, fixtures, etc. For food-preparation areas, use our dedicated CORECLEAN Kitchen Wipes, which carry a rinse-step protocol on-pack as required for any Quat-based disinfectant per FSSAI guidance. Earlier versions of this page incorrectly said these wipes were “food-safe, non-toxic” for kitchen use — that was misleading and we've corrected it.

Q. Is this “plant-based” or “natural”?
No. Anyone selling you “plant-based disinfecting wipes” is being loose with words. The disinfecting actives in any genuine surface disinfectant are chemical — that's how disinfection works. We chose quaternary ammonium compounds because they're proven, broad-spectrum, and gentler than alcohol or bleach. The lemon fragrance is a fragrance, not an active.

Q. How many wipes are in a canister?
Each canister contains 100 wipes.

Q. Where should I use these?
Anywhere with a hard, non-porous surface that needs both cleaning and disinfection: living and dining room furniture (glass, laminate, plastic), bathroom fixtures, switches, doorknobs, the kids' study desk, fridge and microwave exteriors, the TV remote. Basically — the high-touch surfaces around your home that aren't food-prep zones.

Q. What's the difference between this and the CORECLEAN Kitchen Wipes?
Same active chemistry — different positioning and on-pack guidance. Multi-Surface (this product) is for general home surfaces, lemon fragrance, no food-prep claim. Kitchen Wipes are formulated and labelled for kitchen-counter use, with explicit rinse-step instructions for food-contact zones. Most households will want both.

Q. Will the lemon smell linger?
A few hours, depending on ventilation. The fragrance is on the wipe and transfers to the surface during use. It's pleasant but it's not what disinfects.

Q. Contains alcohol or bleach?
No alcohol, no bleach. Quaternary ammonium compounds (the actives) + water + lemon-scented fragrance + carrier compounds in a non-woven fabric. Non-flammable.

Q. How is this different from a regular cleaning wipe or a damp cloth?
A cloth or basic wipe cleans visible dirt. A disinfecting wipe also kills bacteria and viruses that aren't visible. The dual-texture surface adds physical scrub power for stuck-on grime. Different job from a cloth.

Q. Is this product certified?
The formula is CE-marked, ISO-tested, and carries an FDA-tested formulation mark (visible on the bottle). Manufactured in India by Core Clean Private Limited, Gurugram. Every canister has a batch code and a 24-month best-before date. (Note: “FDA-tested formulation” refers to laboratory testing standards, not a US FDA product approval, which doesn't exist for consumer disinfectants — US EPA and Indian CDSCO are the relevant regulators.)
