Description

Made for the Indian kitchen. Properly.

Tadka splatter on the chimney. Chai rings on the marble. Raw chicken juice on the counter. Atta-dusted slabs. The 8pm post-dinner wipe-down that takes a wet cloth, a dry cloth, a spray bottle, and three minutes of effort.

Kitchen Wipes (Lemon Zest) replace all of that with one wipe and four minutes of letting it sit. The disinfecting active is a hospital-grade quaternary ammonium formula β€” the same chemistry used in commercial food-processing kitchens and clinic surfaces. Dual-textured: smooth side for daily counter and stovetop wipe-downs, scrub side for the dried masala crust and oil splatter on the chimney.

Each canister contains 100 dual-textured wipes. Alcohol-free (so it won't dull your stainless steel). Bleach-free (so it won't damage chimney enamel). Non-flammable. Made in India to international quality standards.

Important: About food-prep surfaces (chopping boards, the counter where you peel a fruit, baby high-chair trays): wipe β†’ let sit visibly wet for 4 minutes (this is the contact time required for full germ kill) β†’ rinse with potable water β†’ let air-dry. This is the FSSAI-recommended protocol for any kitchen-grade disinfectant. We tell you the rinse step because most kitchen wipes don't β€” and a kitchen counter your family eats off deserves the full protocol, not a shortcut.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients:

  • Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride β€” 0.20% (quaternary ammonium disinfectant; kills bacteria and enveloped viruses including the common kitchen-borne ones: Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria)
  • n-Alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride β€” 0.20% (50%C₁₄, 40%C₁₂, 10%C₁₆ β€” broad-spectrum quaternary ammonium disinfectant)
  • Other ingredients β€” 99.60% (purified water, lemon-scented fragrance compounds, mild surfactants for grease-cutting, conditioning carriers, non-woven viscose fabric)

Free from:

  • No alcohol β€” won't dull stainless steel or evaporate before disinfection completes
  • No bleach β€” safe on chimney enamel and granite
  • Non-flammable β€” safe to use near gas hob (when hob is off)
A note on β€œplant-based,” β€œfood-safe,” and the lemon claim: Earlier versions of this page described the formula as β€œplant-based” and the wipes as β€œfood-safe, non-toxic” without disclosing the rinse step. We're correcting that. The active disinfecting ingredients are synthetic Quaternary Ammonium Compounds β€” that's what makes them hospital-grade and what makes them effective against the bacteria that actually matter for kitchen safety. The lemon is a fragrance (and a degreasing-perception cue), not a plant-based active ingredient. For food-prep surfaces, the rinse step is real and required β€” see the How To Use section.
How To Use

Setup (first use):

  1. Open the canister, remove the lid, tear off the foil seal completely.
  2. Insert the centre of the wipe roll through the lid hole. Pull through. Re-cap.
  3. Pull one wipe at a time β€” next wipe loads automatically.

Three modes of use:

  • Mode 1 β€” Daily wipe (cleaning + fragrance, no full disinfection): Use the smooth side. Wipe surface. Let air-dry. Use for: chai rings on the counter, masala dust on the slab, oil splatter on the chimney, finger marks on the fridge. ~30 seconds per surface.
  • Mode 2 β€” Full disinfection (after raw meat / fish / post-illness cleanup): Use the scrub side if grease is involved, smooth side otherwise. Use enough wipes that the surface stays visibly wet for 4 minutes. For viruses, minimum 5 seconds wet contact. Let air-dry. Use for: post-raw-chicken counter wipe, post-fish-cleaning slab, sick-family-member surface wipe-down.
  • Mode 3 β€” Food-prep prep (chopping boards, fruit-prep counter, baby high-chair tray): Run Mode 2 (wipe β†’ 4 minutes wet contact), then rinse with potable water and let air-dry before placing food. This is the FSSAI-recommended protocol for any kitchen-grade disinfectant on direct food-contact surfaces.

Safe on:
Stainless steel hob, granite / marble / quartz counters (rinse for food-prep), enamel sinks, glass cooktops, fridge & microwave exteriors, dining table (rinse for food-prep), gas hob exterior, chimney exterior, tiles, plastic and laminate kitchen furniture.

Use with care on:
Wooden chopping boards (rinse mandatory; for baby items, plain soap and water is the better choice), polished marble (test on a hidden spot first β€” Quats can etch over repeated use), untreated wood, melamine plates.

Not for:
Baby toys, pacifiers, items that go directly in a child's mouth (use plain soap and water for those), inside of the fridge food-storage area (use a food-grade cleaner).

Dispose: Bin used wipes. Do not flush β€” they don't disintegrate and will block your kitchen plumbing.
FAQ

Q. Are these safe for food-contact surfaces?
Yes, with a quick rinse. The active disinfecting ingredients are quaternary ammonium compounds β€” the same class used in commercial food-processing kitchens. The FSSAI-recommended protocol for any Quat-based kitchen disinfectant on direct food-contact surfaces (chopping board, counter where you peel a fruit, baby high-chair tray) is: wipe β†’ wait 4 minutes wet contact for full germ kill β†’ rinse with potable water β†’ let dry. We tell you the rinse step because most kitchen wipes don't β€” your family eats off these surfaces, the full protocol matters. Earlier versions of this page said β€œfood-safe, non-toxic, no rinse needed” β€” that was misleading and we've corrected it.

Q. Why do I need to rinse, when Dettol Kitchen Gel / Lysol Wipes don't tell me to?
Honestly: because the rinse step is required for any quaternary ammonium kitchen disinfectant per FSSAI, and most brands either bury this on the bottle or skip it entirely. We chose to make it the headline. The 60-second rinse step is the difference between β€œmostly clean” and β€œthe way commercial food-processing kitchens actually clean.”

Q. How many wipes are in a canister?
Each canister contains 100 wipes. (Earlier versions of this page may have shown 150 β€” we've corrected this to match the printed pack quantity. If you received a pack while it said 150, please contact us and we'll make it right.)

Q. What can I clean with these?
Stainless steel hob, granite / marble / quartz counters, enamel sinks, glass cooktops, gas hob exterior, chimney exterior, fridge & microwave exteriors, dining table, tiles, plastic kitchen furniture. For chopping boards and direct food-prep zones, follow the rinse-step protocol. For baby items and things that go in a child's mouth, plain soap and water is the better choice.

Q. Will it cut grease?
Yes. The surfactants in the formula are designed for kitchen grease specifically β€” masala oil, ghee splatter, chimney film. The scrub side of the wipe handles the dried-on stuff (chai rings, atta dust) and the smooth side handles everyday wipe-downs. The lemon is a fragrance, not the degreaser β€” but the cultural association is real, and the smell does signal β€œclean kitchen” at the end of cooking.

Q. Contains alcohol or bleach?
No alcohol (so it won't dull your stainless steel hob or evaporate before disinfection completes), no bleach (so it won't damage chimney enamel or react with anything else under your sink). Quaternary ammonium compounds + water + surfactants + lemon-scented fragrance + carrier compounds in a non-woven fabric. Non-flammable.

Q. Is it safe to use around kids and pets?
Yes, with normal precautions β€” keep the canister out of reach (the wipes are wet with disinfectant), and for high-chair trays and floor surfaces a pet licks, use the rinse-step protocol. Once the surface is rinsed and dry, no residual concern.

Q. How is this different from the CORECLEAN Multi-Surface Wipes (also lemon)?
Same active disinfecting chemistry. The difference is positioning and on-pack guidance: Kitchen Wipes (this product) lead with the FSSAI rinse-step protocol for food-prep surfaces, are formulated/labelled for the kitchen-specific surface set, and the page tells you exactly which kitchen surfaces and how. Multi-Surface Wipes are positioned for general home surfaces (living room, bathroom, switches, doorknobs) where the rinse step doesn't apply. Most households will want both β€” or just this one if the kitchen is the primary cleaning concern.

Q. Is this product certified?
The formula is CE-marked, ISO-tested, FSSAI-compliant when used with the rinse-step protocol on food-contact surfaces, and CDSCO-compliant as a surface disinfectant. Independently lab-tested at 99.9% kill rate against common kitchen-borne bacteria (Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria) under the 4-minute contact time. Manufactured in India by Core Clean Private Limited, Gurugram. Every canister has a batch code and a 24-month best-before date. (Earlier versions of this page showed β€œFDA APPROVED” β€” we've corrected this. US FDA doesn't regulate consumer disinfectants; the relevant Indian regulators are CDSCO and FSSAI.)
